Program Seeking to Create More Black Travel Entrepreneurs is Now Open to Women (and Men!)

Launched just two weeks ago, a program that began as a movement for African American women entrepreneurs who enjoy working from home in the travel and lifestyle industry has announced that they are now accepting men who may also be interested.

More than just travel agents, the program enables unemployed African Americans to work at home and on their own schedules for a lifestyle company that markets highly-desired travel-related products to the masses. The job includes helping clients find the best travel accommodations, enjoy life-changing experiences, and learn about the best ways to upgrade their travel lifestyle.

A leader in the leisure travel industry, the company, whose foundation was once affiliated with Oprah Winfrey, is at the forefront of what many industry experts say will be a very busy travel year despite the Coronavirus pandemic.

But isn’t the travel industry dead?

Not exactly. Yes, the travel industry has been heavily impacted by the global pandemic, but millions of travelers are still well traveling!

According to MarketWatch, the number of airline passengers screened per day has more than doubled since mid-April. That means that there are currently about 200,000 airline passengers every day. At that rate, more than 70 million Americans will travel this year.

Major U.S. airlines are already reporting a sharp increase in ticket bookings for both summer and winter holiday season travel, and many of them have already re-opened their international travel routes.

As far as hotels, resorts, and amusement parks, Disneyland has announced a date to re-open this summer, and Marriott has already re-opened all of its hotels in China and other parts of the world. Hilton, Intercontinental, and Choice Hotels are expected to follow.

Billionaire investor Warren Buffet, who pessimistically sold all of his airline stocks, has now become optimistic as he too sees what’s happening. He is reportedly already investing in other major publicly-traded companies in the travel and hospitality industry.
